From the desk of Joan Reich:

I hope you all have survived the hurricane and barrage of political ads in the last week without too much “wear and tear”!

TLC Tysons Corner will be completing our 2012 CE series with an exciting program featuring Dr. Christopher Thiagarajah of the Washington Eye Institute (http://www.washingtoneyeinstitute.com/drthiagarajah.html) on Wednesday, November 28th at our TLC Tysons Corner location. He is fellowship-trained in Oculoplastics and Neuro-Ophthalmology.  The course will be for 2 COPE approved hours (I will have more detailed information in the next couple of days, but wanted to get this notice out).

As always, we will begin at 6:30 with registration and a light dinner, and the lecture will begin at 7:00. As those of you who regularly attend our CE events already know, they fill up very quickly, so please RSVP no later than Monday, Friday, November 23rd by simply replying to this email (joan.reich@tlcvision.com).

Please make sure your full name shows up in your email address or put it in your reply. I recognize some of the email addresses, but I send this notice to a very long list of ODs, so I need all the help I can get—“Mike” or “greatod@aol.com” isn’t going to cut it! J  Thanks.

Please Note:

1. If you haven’t been to one of our events in more than a year, this is a new location (as of 8/2011).  The current address of TLC Tysons Corner is: 7930 Jones Branch Drive, Suite 250, McLean,VA, 22102. This is the Hilton Worldwide headquarters building. The CE will be on the lobby level in Sophia's Café.   You can get directions from the TLC website at this link:  http://www.tlcvision.com/centers/tysons-corner/  (you may have to cut and paste this into your browser), or use the attached directions/map.

2.  There is now a small charge for parking in the garage of our building after the first hour ($2-$5, depending on how long you are there).

3. Please be prepared to give us your OE Tracker#, if you havent done so already. COPE will only accept credits uploaded to their website and will require this number to identify you. If you do not have this number, please go to the ARBO/COPE website. As long as you are a registered optometrist in the state you work in, you will be able to find it there. If you have given me this # at a previous CE, I will not need it again, as I have recorded it in my database.

4. TLC charges a small fee of $25.00 for non-affiliates*, so if that applies to you, please be prepared to pay by cash or check when you arrive. If you are currently working for an affiliated practice (co-manages with TLC and you are listed in our database as an affiliate with that practice), you are considered an affiliate.

Hope to see you there!   Joan

*All of our monthly CE programs are complimentary for TLC affiliates, $25 for non affiliates.
