ICL Procedure Done Live on Local News

A news station in Los Angeles did a 3-part segment about a live ICL procedure.  They joined the patient and surgeon live during the surgery.  Check out the segments by clicking here.

It's pretty cool how quickly the procedure was (completed within the hour of the news show).  And, another interesting thing is that they did the procedure bilaterally at the same time, much like LASIK or PRK.  Mostly, it is unilateral, separated by a week or two, but this may be an emerging trend.

Earlier this week, we also mentioned a new change to the ICL to allow easy flow of aqueous humor within the eye.  This would make the prophylactic YAG PIs unnecessary.  - jw
