Totally catching up on posts after a short hiatus!

The end of August brought a couple of things ... time out in the field with Joan and an end to our great weather streak.  Seemed up until this day together, every other field trip had been a bright sunny day, but this one was constant rain.

We started off with Dr. Ally Stoeger in Gainesville.  A visit to Dr. Stoeger's was totally on my list of things to do.  Previously, we were scheduled to visit her office, but my schedule changed at the last minute.  Dr. Stoeger reminded me of the concerns for patients in the PWC area with respect to travelling to Tysons Corner for care.  With co-management allowing Affiliates to do pre- and post-op care, patients from "distant" areas can still access Dr. Holzman's surgical excellence with relative ease.

Our next stop with Dr. Neda Farahmand resulted in Joan recalling a really interesting story.  A few years ago, Dr. Farahmand hosted a Consult Night at her office.  Joan said that there were a record-number of patients scheduled, so very-pregnant Dr. Farahmand insisted on playing a very active role the whole night.  She was so active that she went into labor just a few hours after the event ended!

We made it just this little into the day when our parade started to get rained on.  We missed a lot of doctors just surpassing my previous record for missed connections.  Do you think it was because they knew I was coming?  : )  - jw
