Contact Lenses vs LASIK for Myopia Correction

Dr. Holzman loves to pass along reading material on eye care topics, but I think this the first video he's ever sent to me. This video is from last year's ASCRS meeting. Not positive that the time stamp here is correct. Who gives a lecture at 4 a.m.? : )

We see lots of patients that have grown intolerant of their contacts over time secondary to variable reasons like dry eyes, allergies, or GPC. We see lots of patients that want freedom from contacts while they are traveling for work or play, pursuing their hobbies. LASIK is a great form of vision correction for these patients!

Check out the efficacy and safety of LASIK (and PRK) for the treatment of myopia here. - jw
