Dr. Jonathan Solomon Discusses Dual Laser Cataract Surgery

The second installment of the 2013 TLC Tysons Corner CE Series was hosted by Dr. Jonathan Solomon, the future Director of Cataract Surgery for TLC Tysons Corner.

Center Director Kate Walsh announced that the launch date for TLC Tysons Cataracts program will be on Monday, April 1, 2013. No ... This is not a joke! : )

Dr. Solomon discussed the use of lasers to make more precise incisions in cataract surgery. This can help especially in difficult cases. He also uses the ORA intraoperative wavefront abberometer to perfect his refractive outcomes because cataract surgery patients deserve - and demand - precise outcomes just like our LASIK/PRK patients do.

Dr. Solomon also tested our geography skills. Did I dislike that class when I took it at UT-Austin for a general credit! The professor loved making dumb tests where the answer choices were A - G. Choice E would be something like, "All of the above except B and C". Ugh! Needless to say, I did not do too well on our flag quiz, so I reviewed answers when I got home. They are included here in case you are wondering what the Argentina and Greece flags look like, too. - jw
